I’m thrilled (and honestly, still in a bit of disbelief) to share that the second edition of Inclusive Design for a Digital World is coming soon.
This time around, I’ve expanded on what inclusion looks like right now, in a world where accessibility, AI, and global standards are changing rapidly. The updates reflect what I’ve learned over the past few years: from teaching, consulting, and having conversations across industries and borders.
This edition dives deeper into:
What real accessibility means, and what it takes
How AI is impacting inclusive design (and what we can do about it)
Global standards and their implications for digital teams
Practical steps teams can take to move from awareness to action
Reflections from brilliant contributors and advocates from around the world
This isn’t just a book, it’s a resource.
It’s something you can return to again and again, whether you’re a product designer, researcher, developer, strategist, or someone who just wants to make things better for more people.
A few kind words from those I deeply respect:
“This book is a beacon, it will help you create better product and service experiences for everyone.”
— Sharron Rush, Executive Director of Knowbility
“This is a valuable resource that inspires change and empowers readers to practically do their part when creating and managing digital products.”
— Christine Hemphill, FMRS, Founder & MD of Open Inclusion, Co-Chair of MRS Unlimited
I can’t wait to share this with you. It’s been a journey.
Thanks to every student, reader, and colleague who has shaped this work. You’re in it.
More soon
